The year is 2357;
Roughly 100 years ago the world was torn apart by a nuclear war. Enough bombs went off to render the world pretty much uninhabitable. The waters are poisoned, the air is clouded, and the land is burning. Most of humanity now lives underground, as the surface is too dangerous. Humans can stay at ground level in the cities where Purifiers cast out most of the toxic air, but gas masks are required in order for any of them to leave.
For the last 50 years or so, the rich have hired scientists to experiment on living humans and what remained of animal DNA to form what are now known as Hybrids. They have a very high level of radiation that allow the animal DNA to infuse in their system. The higher the level of radiation, the more the animal DNA is able to stabilize. A special medicine is needed for most of the higher level Hybrids, as their DNA structure is very unstable.
Within the last 10 years, a Rebellion has sprung up, led by the Hybrids that are able to thrive on the polluted surface of the earth. They wish to watch the humans fail, and many of the laboratories are being attacked, rendering the humans unable to continue to produce Hybrids.
The humans are retaliating against these attacks by hiring a group of very skilled individuals, humans and Hybrids alike, known as Breeze, to kill off the Rebellion members one by one.
The headquarters for both of these groups are located in a city by the name of Shadow's Fall, located around where Los Angeles used to exist.
A war is raging as the planet itself is fighting for survival. Which side are you on?
